The Rockwood Gifted Program encourages and responds to the diverse expressions of gifts and talents in our students. We continually strive to improve the quality of education for children.
This year, we have been reviewing ways to improve school schedules for the Center for Creative Learning. We truly want to do what is best for our elementary students and their families.
Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, we will be updating the schedule of school attendance. Below, you will find the rotation plan for the coming school year, as well as some of the rationale for this update.
- Shorter Routes: Afternoon bus routes will be shorter due to better utilization of transportation resources, including additional bus routes.
- Increased Attendance Days: We will be utilizing the same early dismissal schedule as our elementary schools. This means that CCL will no longer have full-day professional development days.
- Middle School: New school groupings are designed with middle school feeder patterns in mind. This will help students meet future middle school classmates as they will attend CCL on the same day.
Note: Tuesday will be the early release date for the 2019-2020 school year. To ensure fairness to all students and schools, we will implement an annual rotation plan that will change the schools that attend on early release days.
