Frontline Absence Management (FAMS) is an automated service that greatly simplifies and streamlines the process of recording and managing absences and finding substitutes. The FAMS service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be accessed via internet or phone.
How do I access the Frontline Absence Management System?
FAMS gives you two options for entering absences, reviewing past absences and requesting substitutes:
- Touch-tone phone: 1-800-942-3767
- FAMS online: Using
Absence Management on the internet allows you to perform the same functions available over the phone system, at your convenience.
How do I login to the Frontline Absence Management System?
- Your username is your FAMS ID number, provided by FAMS.
- Your password is your FAMS PIN number.
All exempt employees will receive a letter with their individual FAMS ID number and FAMS PIN number from the substitute office.

Who is required to use the Frontline Absence Management System?
All exempt Rockwood employees will use the Frontline Absence Management system.
- Other exempt staff
- Substitute teachers
You will receive an email when the job is filled or if a change has been made to the job.
