We want to wlecome Mrs. Rhonda Costa as the new grade level secretary for the Senior Class. Mrs. Costa looks forward to assisting you with any questions that you may have.
Josten's will be at MHS on Thursday, November 2 to collect packets for ordering graduation caps & gowns. Seniors may also order graduation announcements, memorabilia, and Senior wear.
Senior Incentive forms for 2nd semester are available in the Senior office. The forms must be completed and returned by December 15.
If a Senior wants to change their schedule for 2nd semester they must make the change with their counselor before the last day of the 1st semester (December 21).
Final Exams for the 1st semester are December 18-21.
I have shared many times that the 4 years would go by very fast. Do you believe me now? Three years are in the past, and one good year is ahead of us.
Registration packets have been mailed out. You should recieve it in the mail the week of July 10th. If you have moved or do not recieve the registration packet please call or come up to the Welcome Center.
The Senior Office has moved. The 12th grade office is located on the 3rd near the elevator. Mr. Hudson & Mrs. Phoebe Owenby are still working with the Senior Class.

- Can you believe it? Your Junior student is completing for the last time their registration for course selection at MHS. The selection portal is open from January 20th through January 30th.
- Counselors will be meeting with individual students over the next 6 weeks. These appointments are already scheduled through the Language Arts classes.
- Class of 2018 parents will be meeting at MHS in the commons on January 26th at 6:30 pm to plan and discuss the Senior Farewell for 2018.
- TurnAbout Dance is February 4th at 7:00 pm in the commons. Tickets go on sale January 30th and are $10. The theme is: Neon Night.
Welcome to a new year at MHS. The school year has started off with great success. There are few informational points that I want to emphasize.
Powder Puff practices begin on September 6th. Junior girls wishing to participate in the September 14th game v. the Seniors must attend at least 2 practices. Junior girls must place their order for a game T-Shirt by September 8th.
Come out for a family night of fun on September 14th at MHS with the Taste of Marquette at 5:00 pm and the Junior/Senior Powder Puff game at 7:30 pm.
All Juniors were presented information in their English classes concerning the opportunity to do Career Shadowing in their chosen area. Applications are due September 15th to the PIE office or in the 11th grade office.
Please be sure to call the 11th grade office if your child is going to be absent from school (636-891-6021). Too many absences and or tardies may result in your child's parking space being revoked.
Friday, December 4th is the deadline for students to submit their form to exempt a 1st Semester Final. The student must have an A in the class prior to the final exam. Exemption forms may be picked up in any of the grade level offices.
Josten's Ring Assembly will be February 17th during 2nd hour. More information will be sent out.
Please encourage your child to start reviewing for their final exams. Many classes will be providing study guides for the exams.
The 2nd semester will begin on January 5, 2016. Have a safe and enjoyable Holiday Break.
We want to thank our district Bus Drivers and Custodians for all that they do for the Rockwood School District and our students. October recognizes both of these outstanding groups in our school community.
Parent Conferences are Wednesday, October 7th (A-L) and Thursday, October 15th (M-Z) from 4:30 -8:00 pm. Please come out to meet your child's teachers and to learn about their performance in their classes.
Sophomore parents continue to be involved in the life of your child and MHS. This is an important year for their success and growth. You can't do it by yourself, and we can't do it without you.

Remember that August 28th will be an Early Release Day for MHS students. School will be dismissed at 12:18 pm. All students must leave the campus immediately. The MHS staff with St. Louis County Police will be going through Emergency & Intruder drill scenarios for safety and security training.
If your child is interested in being part of the Principal Advisory group they may complete an application in the Sophomore office.
The class of 2018 are now Sophomores!!! No more Freshman, we are now in the know about everything at MHS. Welcome back and I look forward to another great year of working with you.
- Sophomore Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th from 8:00 - 10:00 am. Please bring your registration information with you. If you did not receive or have misplaced the registration packet, additional copies are available in the Welcome Center.
- If for any reason you are not able to make the scheduled orientation, class schedules & locker assignments will be available in the Welcome Center on Thursday, August 6th.
- A big welcome to Mrs. Julie Sutherland. Mrs. Sutherland will be the new grade level secretary in the 10th grade office.
We have less than 30 days left in the Freshman year for your child. The time is flying by.

All 9th grade students will be completing the Aspire Test on April 28th.
9th grade students will be able to exempt 1 final exam during Finals Week. the student must have an A in the class when completing the exemtion form. Students must select properly, if a grade falls below an A before the final exam that exam can no longer be exempted.
Come support Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A in Chesterfield Valley on January 14 (5:00 pm -9:00 pm). Twenty percent of your purchase will go to the MHS Renaissnace program.
9th graders will be meeting with their counselors on January, 15, 2015 to begin the registration process for selecting classes for the next school year.
Community Service... everyon can get involved. MHS will sponsor a Community Service Spring Break trip to Arkansas in March. There will be a parent informational meeting on Thursday, January 22nd at 7:00pm in the Theatre. For more information contact Dr. Dan Ramsey at 636-891-6022.
Come out and support the Battle of the Bands on Friday, January 30th at 7:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the Freshman Class and is a fundraiser for our Class of 2018.
