What is MySchoolBucks?
MySchoolBucks is a third-party vendor that provides a convenient way for parents to pay for their children’s meals at school. This company charges an online payment fee, if parents choose to use this online payment system. Families can use their credit card (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover), check card or bank account to pay for their children's meals.
What is the online payment fee?
The fee for the online payment method is a flat $2.49 per deposit, which is an increase of 49 cents for the 2019-2020 school year. This fee will be charged by Heartland Payment Systems.
MySchoolBucks officials will be notifying their customers about the fee increase, June 13, and the site will be down for a short time, in order to make those changes.
How may families efficiently use MySchoolBucks?
Families may pay for all their children’s meals at once, as the fee is based upon a per deposit schedule. For example, parents can add funds to all their children at different Rockwood schools at the same time, and pay only one transaction fee. In addition, MySchoolBucks is allowing parents to make larger deposits in their children’s meal accounts - up to $250 per transaction - so that you may now add more funds with a single payment and program fee.
What other options are available for parents to pay for school meals?
Parents may pay for their children’s school meals with a check or cash delivered to the school cafeteria manager. When writing out checks for your student's meal account, please include: name, address, phone number, student name and student I.D. Checks should be made payable to Rockwood Child Nutrition.
