The Rockwood School District has been named a 2016 Top Workplace by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. This is the third year in a row Rockwood has made this list.
According to the survey, Rockwood employees felt appreciated, valued and respected:
- “I am an intricate part of caring for students and helping them to meet their educational goals.”
- “I am making a difference in kids' lives.”
- “I can make a difference in the life of a child.”
- “My work performance and work ethic is appreciated.”
Rockwood employees felt well-informed about important decisions in the district. They also felt Rockwood enabled them to work at their full potential.
Additionally, staff members felt like they were a "part of something meaningful" and "genuinely appreciated."
Rockwood was ranked 16 out of 20 in the Large Employer category. More than 125 companies, nonprofit groups and government agencies agreed to participate in survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics.
More than 55 percent of Rockwood employees took the survey in 2016.
