Five Wildwood Middle students have qualified to advance in the MathCON competition.
Eloise Zhou, Vinay Sriramanane, Arjun Suresh, Johanna Lumbantobing, and Ashna Ramiah all qualified to advance in MathCON after earning high scores during the online math assessment. They will now represent WMS at the National MathCON 2017 Competition Finals in Chicago.
The math assessment involved completing a series of algebra, geometry, pre-calculus and other grade-level-specific questions within 45 minutes. Nearly 50,000 applicants from across 43 states took the online assessment, but only 576 qualified for MathCON.

A special recognition goes to Payton Lee who earned a top honorable mention.
Wildwood's fabulous five finalists will now travel to Chicago to compete against the other 571 competitors on April 22 at the University of Illinois.
