A+ Hours for Seniors

All A+ hours for seniors MUST be turned in by 3:30pm on Friday, May 18, 2018.  No exceptions.  You can track your hours and attendance in Infinite Campus.

​​Summer School

​​Summer School packets are now available in the Counseling Office.  Stop by any time to pick one up.  Rockwood Summer Academy will be held at Rockwood South Middle School this summer and will take place June 4-29.  Session one will be from 8:00am to 11:15am and session two will be from 11:30am to 2:45pm.  

Please note:  RSD busses will be available for resident student transportation to neighborhood bus stops for mid-day and afternoon drop offs.  There is no AM or mid-day pick up.  Students will have to provide their own transportation to the Summer Academy location.  Missouri Central will provide AM​ & PM transportation to and from sites for our students in the VICC program.  There will be no mid-day transportation.


Our guidance and counseling program includes:

  1. CURRICULUM consists of classroom lessons and large group presentations

  2. INDIVIDUAL PLANNING consists of activities that help all students plan, monitor, and manage their own learning as well as their personal and career development.                   

  3. RESPONSIVE SERVICES consists of activities to meet immediate needs and concerns of students.

  4. SYSTEM SUPPORT consists of management activities that establish, maintain, and enhance the total guidance program.

The Guidance Department at Rockwood Summit is here to assist students to make good choices concerning their High School career.

The following is a list of Graduation Requirements for students'

Eight semesters of attendance plus the following course work:

Personal Finance Proficiency met through personal finanace or economics courses​

Health Education 1/2 credit
Electives   7 1/2 credits
TOTAL    24
Speech Proficiency Completed through language arts coursework
Missouri and Federal Constitution Exams taken during United States government course
Credits needed to advance in grade level:

6 Credits - 10th Grade
12 Credits - 11th Grade
17​​ Credits - 12th Grade

Students may be reclassified at the end of each semester and summer academy.  If you have questions regarding your grade level contact your counselor.

Guidance Office Hours:

The Guidance Office is open daily Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. Counselors are available, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  To schedule an appointment with your counselor contact Mrs. Liz Tucci.  Mrs. Tucci will help you find a time that is best for you and your counselor.
