Library Schedule
Our library welcomes students and parents daily from 8:54 a.m. to 3:25 p.m. Every grade level class visits the library 30 minutes weekly as part of the specials block. Library curriculum includes four main units: Location and Access, Fiction and Informational Text, Information Literacy, and Digital Citizenship.

Students in grades 1-5 may visit the library as often as once a day to check-out and/or return library materials. We want to students to ALWAYS have something to read! Kindergarten students choose their library books during their weekly library lesson.
- Kindergarten: one (1) book
- 1st–3rd Grades: three (3) books
- 4th–5th Grades: four (4) books
Library materials may be checked out for two weeks. Overdue notices are printed and sent home with students periodically. If materials become overdue for 30 days or more, students may not check out until overdue materials are returned or fines are satisfied. Fines are charged only for lost and/or damaged materials.
We encourage students to choose books that are "good fit" and include a variety of genres including fiction, nonfiction, etc. With flexible access for check-out, we are happy to individually assist students with book selection, so that they are not only successful in reading and understanding the text, but also that they find joy and purpose in what they are reading. Our goal is to foster a life-long love of reading and learning!
Parents now have the ability to receive daily email notifications regarding the materials their child has checked out of the school library. Parents wishing to receive these daily emails should contact their child's school librarian to activate this feature.
