Guidance and Counseling
Guidance and counseling is an integral part of Crestview's total educational program. The counselor extends a hand to all children, not just the problem or troubled child. The counseling program assists students in acquiring the skills and attitudes necessary to be successful learners. It emphasizes that the classroom is a child's first workplace and that communication, decision-making, interpersonal, and career awareness skills are important to their success.
Crestview is fortunate to have counselors and a social worker at our school every day. Below are the counselor/social worker assignments:
Mrs. Marcy Morris: 6th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Heather Chamberlain: 7th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Alison Carroll: 8th Grade Counselor
Mrs. Cathy Chew: Counselor available on Mondays (all grade levels)
Mrs. Erin Hotz: School Social Worker (all grade levels)
All students will be valued and provided results-based instruction in the areas of Career, Academic, and Personal Social Development, through a comprehensive guidance program, as they acquire skills, abilities and attitudes that empower them to be lifelong contributing members of society.
