AP Testing

  •

AP exam registration is now closed.

Students who are enrolled in Advanced Placement courses have the opportunity each May to take the Advanced Placement exam offered for the course. The main reason to take an AP exam is to demonstrate mastery of rigorous college-level material. By scoring a passing grade on an AP exam (3 or above), students can earn college credit and/or placement at the majority of colleges and universities in the US.

    EXAM DAY INFORMATION:

Please note that while the majority of the exams are held at Wildwood Hotel some exams will take place at Lafayette High.  Your exam schedule will be emailed to the email address used during exam registration.

You are required to arrive at the testing site no later than 30 minutes prior to your exam: 7:30 a.m. for the morning administration and 11:30 a.m. for the afternoon administration. Students may not be dismissed until an exam has officially ended; do not ask to leave early if you finish before the end of the exam. If you play a sport or have a job, it is your responsibility to inform your coach or employer of your AP Exam obligation, and arrangements should be made accordingly.

Get a good night’s rest before your exam, and eat a nutritious breakfast. You are allowed to bring a snack and beverage to the testing site for your 10-minute break. However, food and drink are prohibited in the exam room. It is advisable to bring a jacket in case the room temperature is below your comfort level.

You are required to abide by the policies of both the College Board and Lafayette High School during the exam period. Any misconduct will be reported and could jeopardize your AP Exam score. Please note; on the day of your exam(s), you are required to report to LHS for any portion of the school day that you are not in an AP exam.

Students are responsible for their own transportation and should park on the upper, open-sky level of the Wildwood Public Parking Garage located to the west of the Wildwood Hotel.  Students should enter through the main entrance of the hotel & conference center and will not be allowed to enter using the back doors immediately off the parking lot.
