Special Education

  • The Rockwood School District is responsible for providing a Free and Appropriate Public Education to children who have been identified as eligible according to the criteria outlined in the Missouri state education plan for Special Education. Special Education and related services for preschool-aged children are referred to as Special Education.

    Parents of children who are 3-5 years old or approaching 3 who suspect their child may have a significant developmental delay that may affect them educationally should contact an Early Childhood Center to begin a Request for Evaluation.
