The school office and your child's teacher need a note for any change in a student’s dismissal. For example, If your child is walking home instead of taking the bus home, we must have a note from you. Also, please inform us if you intend to pick your child up at the end of the day.
Early Dismissal and Late Arrivals
Sometimes it is necessary for a parent/guardian to pick up a child during the school day for dental or doctor appointments, etc. In such circumstances, parents/guardians must check-in at the office and sign the student out. Students who are returned to school after their appointments, or students who are driven to school and arrive after the start of the school day, must have their parents/guardians sign them in.
Order of Dismissal
- Car riders
- Walkers
- Adventure Club participants
- Bus riders
*Kindergarteners will need to be met at their bus stop or at the crosswalk by a parent/guardian/sibling in 4th grade or higher.
Please note that we are anticipating a much higher volume of car riders and walkers at Bowles. Our arrival and dismissal procedures have been adopted in order to help to safely and efficiently welcome and dismiss our students each day. I very much appreciate your help in maintaining our arrival and dismissal procedures.
