The minimum credit requirements for graduation are as follows and are in accordance with the requirements established by the Missouri State Board of Education:

Some content areas include specific course requirements within the credits students must earn to graduate. The following content areas require all students to complete specific courses as they earn credits for graduation.

Language Arts
3 of 4 credits is required coursework.
1 credit from the 09 English Language Arts course choices:
- 09 English Language Arts
- 09 Accelerated English Language Arts
- 09 English Language Arts RE
- 09 Advanced English Language Arts Research Presentation
1 credit from the 10 English Language Arts course choices:
- 10 English Language Arts
- 10 Accelerated English Language Arts
- 10 English Language Arts RE
- 10 Advanced English Language Arts Research Presentation
Students must take an End of Course Exam as part of the Missouri Assessment Program for this course.
1 credit from the 11 English Language Arts course choices
- 11 English Language Arts
- Language, Communication and Composition 1
- AP English-Literature and Composition

Social Studies
2.5 of 3 credits are required course work.
1 credit from the United States History course choices:
- United States History
- Honors United States History
- AP Unites States History
The Civics Education Initiative (SB638) proficiency must also be met.
1 credit from the World History course choices:
- World History
- AP World History
- AP European History
0.5 credit from the United States Government course choices:
- United States Government
- AP Government
The U.S. Constitution and MO Constitution proficiency must also be met.

Mathematics

Students must take an End of Course Exam as part of the Missouri Assessment Program for this course.

Students must take an End of Course Exam as part of the Missouri Assessment Program for this course.

Personal Finance
Students have 4 options to complete this requirement:
- Personal Finance and Business (Business CTE course)
- Personal Finance (FACS CTE Course)
- Economics and Personal Finance (Social Studies Course) *
- AP Economics and Personal Finance (Social Studies Course) *
- Test out of the Missouri Personal Finance Assessment (MoPFA) with 90% or higher (elective credit only)
Courses noted with an * also require that students take a proficiency exam.
Personal Finance, if taken in CTE, can meet:
- the Personal Finance requirement; and,
- as a 0.5 credit of CTE.
