Welcome to the Babler Outdoor Education Center

  • Nestled in the valley of Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in West St. Louis County, The Babler Outdoor Education Center (OEC) is a 300-acre retreat offering groups the perfect place to get away without having to go away!

    Babler OEC is a fully accessible facility for people of all abilities and is available for day, overnight, week-long and weekend use by organized groups including summer camps, school programs, scout troops, retreat groups and community organizations. Whether you are looking to rent the facility and manage your own program or you are interested in working with our staff to create a customized program, the Babler OEC offers a convenient and affordable location for your camp, field trip, retreat, teambuilding activity, meeting and more.

    Operated by Parkway-Rockwood Community Education through a partnership with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Division of State Parks, the Babler OEC operates year-round and annually welcomes over 12,000 people from throughout the St. Louis region and beyond.
