Got Your Back Pack is a program that provides nutritious food to students in need.
Did you know?
Homelessness touches nearly every Rockwood school. In fact, current numbers show 180 Rockwood students are homeless with 32 percent of students residing in the county and 68 percent residing in the city.
How does Got Your Back Pack work?
Each weekend, our homeless students receive a backpack filled with nutritious food items that are easy to open, simple to prepare and can accommodate a variety of living circumstances.
How can I help?
Individual donations may also be dropped off at any Rockwood school or to Jacklyn Floyd, Supervisor of Mental & Emotional Health, at her office located at the Pathways Wellness Center, 500 N Central Ave, Eureka, MO 63025 Building B. In addition, you can donate at one of our community supporters listed below.
What kind of food do students need? Items include: oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna, macaroni and cheese, pasta, spaghetti sauce, rice (bags or boxes - 2 lbs. or less), dried fruit, fruit and vegetables in cans, soups and granola bars. Gift cards to grocery stores to purchase these items are also appreciated.
