Career Shadowing

  • The Rockwood Partners in Education (PIE) Career Shadowing program provides students with the opportunity to explore career areas of interest through on-site visits and virtual chats with industry professionals!

Career Shadowing opportunities are open to all Rockwood students in grades 9-12. Students interested in participating in an on-site experience must have reliable transportation. Students can participate in the program in the Fall and/or Spring semesters. Students are limited to one experience per semester. Students are also eligible to earn hours towards the A+ program through this experience.

    Spring 2023 Shadowing Weeks

Spring shadowing weeks will take place during the months of March and April. These opportunities are open to students in grades 9-12, parents are not allowed to attend.  The student application will be available on January 3, 2023 with the deadline to complete the application being February 3rd.  On February 16th I will send a Sign Up Genius link to all the Juniors and Seniors that applied to the program.  This link will have all the career shadowing experiences available for the semester listed in chronological order.  Students will be able to see the time, date, and host of each particular shadow and it is at that point that the students will commit to attending the shadow.  Freshmen and Sophomores will receive the Sign Up link on February 20th.  The Sign Up will close February 24th with the actual shadows beginning March 1st.
