Welcome Letter from the Principal

  • Wildcats,

Welcome to your first steps towards the 2023-2024 academic school year! During your time at EHS, our goal is to provide each of you with an amazing, engaging, truly relevant, high-level, personalized, and unique learning experience. The next steps in your journey during this learning experience begin with the course selection process.

In 1971, Starbucks opened in Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington. Since then, according to recent math, Starbucks now offers over 80,000 ways to drink a Starbucks beverage. Ok, perhaps I’m not creating the best correlation here, but hear me out. Now, I’m not comparing the importance of weighing your options in caffeinated beverages with your choice of a curriculum pathway in high school, but it seems to me that seemingly unlimited options are a good thing.

With boundless options, it’s exceedingly important that you take ownership and become the architect of the academic avenues that will lead you to success both in school and life. Wildcats, rise up to meet this exploratory challenge. During this process, I encourage you to consult your families, teachers, counselors, administrators, and classmates.Take the time to explore the vast array of options. Be visionaries and see all the possibilities, and create your own story. Dream big, stretch yourself, and above all else follow your passions.

In closing, I have a very personal and powerful question for you all. What do you hope to gain from your experience at Eureka High School?

Take care of yourself, each other, and EHS,

    Dr. Corey Sink, principal
