Revisions to the FAFSA (Fall 2023)
For the Class of 2024- Due to revisions to the FAFSA application, FAFSA will not open until sometime in December 2023. This means there will be a shorter open window to complete the application. When the application opens, the Post High School Planning Office will send notifications through ParentSquare and on this website page.

FAFSA Steps - Start to Finish
This information will be updated as soon as it becomes available with the new FAFSA form. Meanwhile, this link provides a great overview of what to expect when completing the application.

Creating the FAFSA ID
The FSA ID must be created before you can start the FAFSA form and requires multi-factor authentication.
One of your parents might need an FSA ID as well. If you need to provide information about your parents on the FAFSA form, one of your parents will have to sign the form electronically using their FSA ID. With the upcoming FAFSA revisions, income information must be imported from the IRS using the data retrieval tool in the FAFSA form.

FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) (formerly called Student Aid Report or SAR)
The name of the SAR is being changed with the revisions to the FAFSA application this academic year. It will now be called the FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS). The FSS summarizes your FAFSA and includes the Student Aid Index (SAI, formerly called the Expected Family Contribution or EFC). This link still provides a good overview of what to expect with the FSS and will be updated as soon the new FAFSA application is available.
