School-Age Care

  • Program Philosophy & Curriculum

We strive to engage children in developmentally appropriate, relevant, and enriching activities in an environment that supports independent choice guided by caring adults. Our program reflects the philosophy that children learn best when the curriculum is diverse. All areas of a child’s development play a part, including physical, social, emotional and cognitive. We offer activities that support the four program areas for afterschool: Recreation and Fitness, Life Skills, Academic Support and Personal Growth and Development. Weekly activities include STEM, Creative Arts, Life Skills, Enrichment and Group Games.

    Before/After Care Program

The before and after-school care program is designed to provide children (grades K-5) with a safe, well-supervised and fun environment. The before-school care program begins as early as 6:30 a.m. in both the Parkway and Rockwood school districts. The after-school care program is available until 6 p.m. The daily schedule includes a variety of indoor and outdoor games, and free-choice activities.

    Non-School Day Care

Any child attending our Before or After Care program is eligible to register for Non-School Day Care. We provide full-day care (7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) on many non-school days. The children will participate in a fun-filled day of special activities in a well-supervised environment.
