Kary Bachert

Kary Bachert is seeking a second term on the Rockwood School Board, driven by a commitment to give back to the community that has played a vital role in her and her family’s lives. She remains focused on high achievement and fiscal responsibility within our schools. She is a strong advocate for the resources necessary to support both educators and students.
A lifelong Rockwood resident and graduate of Westridge, Selvidge, and Lafayette, Kary holds degrees in elementary education and educational administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia and University of Missouri-St. Louis. Kary taught in Rockwood from 1995 to 2006, receiving Teacher of the Year honors twice. She works for the American Heart Association.
Her 18+ years of volunteer service include PTO President roles at Pond Elementary and Eureka High, serving on various district level committees, co-chairing the successful Prop T campaign, and receiving the Rockwood Rose Award.
As a Rockwood Board of Education Director, Kary has represented the board on the CSIP, COPE, Advocacy, and Wellness committees. She also represents Rockwood on the Special School District Governance Committee.
Kary and her husband of almost 25 years, Jason (Lafayette ‘91), have two sons: Brady (Eureka ‘21) and Bennett (Eureka '25).
