Dr. Mara Vorachek-Warren

”I am excited for this journey and to be able to learn more about how the Board works behind the scenes, working with this fine group of people that I am so excited to join. I'm a lifetime learner, and I am really excited to learn from this opportunity.“Dr. Mara Vorachek-Warren was sworn into the Rockwood Board of Education in 2024 after being appointed by the Board to fill a vacant seat. She holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Duke University Medical Center, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. 

Dr. Vorachek-Warren has been an educator for more than 20 years and currently serves as dean of mathematics and sciences at St. Charles Community College, where she has served as a dean or interim dean since 2017. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the chemistry department at St. Charles Community College and served as an associate professor at the institution from 2011 to 2017. Her two children attend middle school in Rockwood.
