Lynne Midyett

The Rockwood School District unites over twenty communities to form an educational hub where students learn, play and grow together. ALL students deserve a quality education. My priorities continue to be academic excellence in a safe and welcoming learning environment, recruitment and retention of top talent, stellar strategic planning and fiscal accountability. An additional priority focus is a board of education that functions as a team, listens to community stakeholders and is innovative in thinking and approach.“Lynne Midyett was appointed to the Rockwood Board of Education in June 2016. She has a history of service in public education, including her work as the former assistant superintendent of partner districts with Special School District. She began her career as a special education teacher serving Rockwood students. Ms. Midyett earned her Master of Arts in Special Education and her certification in Educational Administration. Her family has lived in Rockwood for over 25 years, and her children graduated from Marquette High School. She currently has three grandchildren attending Rockwood schools.
