The Partners in Education Department plans and stages several off-site experiential learning events throughout the school year.
Missouri Heritage Days
Missouri Heritage is a field trip presented each spring and fall for 4th grade students in the Rockwood School District. This event takes place at the Outdoor Education Center at Babler State Park and gives students the opportunity to experience what life was like for settlers of Missouri in the early to mid 1800’s.
Civil War Living History
Each spring, the Civil War Living History event is presented at Beaumont Scout Reservation for all 8th grade students in the Rockwood School District. Students are provided the opportunity to experience what life was like for soldiers on both sides of the conflict, as well as for African-Americans.
8th Grade Career Conference
The 8th Grade Career Conference is held each year in February and every 8th-grade student in the district participates. This event is an opportunity for students to meet with business and industry experts to gain information about potential career paths. Students are given an opportunity to explore four occupations of their choosing from over 40 offerings. The day is a culmination of preparation by teachers, guidance counselors, and Partners in Education staff.
LCC Career Conference
The Partners in Education Department works with the local business community to stage off-site career conferences for Rockwood high school LCC students. These events provide students the opportunity to meet with business and industry experts to gain information about potential career paths.
