cosponsored by College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

NMSC conducts the National Merit Scholarship Program, an annual academic competition for recognition and college scholarships. The PSAT/NMSQT is the screening test for high school students who wish to participate in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

How Students Receive Their Scores

  • Students will receive an email with information about accessing their scores by creating or logging in to their College Board online account.
  • Scores are available online, usually in December.
  • Paper score reports and test booklets are available in January (distribution method TBD by your school).
  • Nothing is mailed home by College Board or Rockwood
  • Students who qualify for National Merit Semi-Finalist or other awards will be notified in fall of 12th grade.
