To graduate from a Missouri public school, students need to take and pass a US Constitution Test and a Missouri Constitution Test and a Missouri Civics Initiative Test (three tests) sometime in their high school years, but none of those tests is legally tied to any specific Social Studies course. These tests are mandated by state statute and required for all students graduating from a Missouri public or charter school.
These tests are locally created and administered. Only the Civics Test has particular details described in the legislation which mandated it, but it, like the others, can betaken any time in high school and as many times as a student requires to pass. These arrangements are all local school district decisions.
