Early College Partnership

The Rockwood School District established the Early College Partnership (ECP) in collaboration with St. Louis Community College – Wildwood.

This partnership allows current Rockwood high school students to obtain an associate degree while fulfilling their Missouri graduation requirements. The ECP is a two-year, full-immersion, dual-enrollment program.

The ECP is open to students at all four Rockwood high schools. Applications are available online and in high school counselor's offices.

During their enrollment in the ECP, students will have access to a full-time Rockwood high school counselor/college advisor. They will also have access to the STLCC-Wildwood Student Resource Center, library and computer labs, as well as student clubs and campus activities. Students will follow the STLCC academic calendar and are required to be in attendance for all classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

All students begin the process by completing an ECP application.  Applications deadlines are determined by the ECP, and are usually available in November with a due date in February.

Please note this firm deadline as late applications will not be accepted.  However, all applications will be equally considered as long as they are submitted by the deadline.

Send the completed application to the following:

Crestview Middle School – Counseling K-12

Prospective students should apply to the ECP during their sophomore year (10th grade) in high school.  The ECP program takes the place of a student's 11th and 12th grade years of traditional high school.

St. Louis Community College requires a placement test before enrollment. You'll find more information on page seven of the application or via the STLCC Admissions page.

STLCC-Wildwood campus is the preferred campus for testing but you may also test at Forest Park.  You are required to attach a copy of the accuplacer scoresheet to your ECP application (per instructions on the application).  If you do not, your application will be considered incomplete.

NOTE: A subscore of 19 Math and 18 English or above on an official ACT test automatically qualifies for exemption from the Accuplacer test.

The ECP Committee looks at the overall picture of a student's academic performance by considering all of the following:

  • Classroom Performance (Grades in courses taken in 9th and 10th grades)

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.5* or higher.

  • *Students with a GPA below 2.5 may apply but require one recommendation from an RSD staff member.

  • Official student disciplinary record from school

  • ACCUPLACER scores  must indicate student's readiness for College Composition 1 and Intermediate Algebra or higher

  • An essay written by the student

  • A signed agreement to abide by the expectations and responsibilities of the RSD Early College Partnership

The Rockwood and STLCC-Wildwood Partnership will cover the tuition of college classes each semester. Students are required to maintain passing grades (C or better) in all classes.
