What to Expect After Applying
For certified positions, principals will first review and consider internal applicants. If additional candidates are needed, principals will screen online external applications and select those who best meet the criteria for the position. Building interviews may be conducted by phone, virtually, or in person, and may involve the principal, other members of the administrative team, or a hiring committee composed of teachers, counselors, and other certified staff.
Once a finalist is selected, the principal will submit a hiring recommendation to the Human Resources Department. Human Resources will then extend the offer to the finalist, and the recommendation will be presented to the Board of Education for approval. Candidates who participated in interviews but were not selected will be notified that the position has been filled.
