The Intervention Program is an educational program that utilizes Safety First, a harm reduction-based curriculum. The purpose of the program is to encourage youth to abstain from drug use. Scientifically accurate information is provided to empower students to quit and/or reduce harm.

The School Substance Abuse Supervisor will meet with students weekly at their school. Outside referrals can be made if deemed necessary (i.e. substance abuse treatment, mental health services, etc). Additionally, resources can be provided for students who may be struggling with family members that have substance abuse issues.

Parental Consent is required in order for a student to participate in the program.
