Rockwood Families with a New Student


 Enrolling your student(s)

Due to COVID-19, we are asking all families to enroll their student(s) through the district's Online Enrollment.

If you do not have access to technology to complete the process online, please call the registrar at the school your student(s) will attend​ to schedule an appointment. ​

Rockwood parents must have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account to enroll a new student via the online application.  If you do not have an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, please contact your child's school.  If you have forgotten your username and/or password, email Infin​ite Campus Help Desk at

Important: To complete the online census verification process the parent or guardian will need an Infinite Campus Portal account. Learn how to get an Infinite Campus Portal account.

​Detailed instructions

Step 1

Gather the required information listed below before you begin the enrollment process.

  • Emergency contact information

Gather the documentation that is needed for the enrollment process.

  • Birth certificate issued by the Bureau of Vital Statistics

  • Medically documented immunization/health records/physicals

  • Proof of residency (please read more below)

  • IEP and evaluation, if the student is receiving Special Education services

  • For transfer students, an unofficial transcript or most recent report card

Proof of Residency

Unless student is exempt from the proof of residency requirement, one document from each List A and List B are required. Electronic documents are permissible as long as the documents are current and contain the information required for the district to verify proof of residence (date, name, address, applicable signatures, etc.). The district has the right to request additional proof at any time or to employ other means to verify residency. Under Missouri law, misrepresenting residency is a criminal offese. If a family's residency status is found to be inaccurately represented or changes without notification to the district, the district may act to recover the cost of services provided.

List A documents

  • Deed

  • Sales contract signed by all parties, provided that the registrant must supplement this submission with a copy of the closing statement within 60 days

  • Mortgage statement dated within 30 days of the date of submission for verification

  • Unexpired lease/rental agreement signed by landlord and tenant and including the address, apartment number, and date of rental

List B documents

  • Utility bill (water, gas, sewer, trash, or electric) dated within 30 days of the date of submission for verification and including the name, service and mailing address. Trash bills will be deemed current if they are dated within the most recent billing quarter

  • Real estate tax receipt dated within 1 year of the date of submission

  • Personal property tax receipt dated within 1 year of the date of submission

  • Unexpired occupancy permit listing all the occupants of the residence

Step 2

Begin the enrollment process by logging into the Infini​te Campus Portal​​ and selecting Online Registration in the left navigation menu.

Before you submit your enrollment application, you can download and save or print a copy.

Step 3

Families will receive an email confirmation to the address provided to confirm the status of your application.  If any additional information is required to complete your enrollment, the school will contact you.

 Kindergarten Enrollment

​Rockwood offers full-day, tuition-free kindergarten​. Children must be five years old before Aug. 1, 2021, to begin kindergarten in the fall.​

Each January, Rockwood elementary schools host special kindergarten enrollment events for families​. If you miss these events in January, please contact your elementary school at your earliest convenience.​​

 Other Important Questions

​Children must be five years old by July 31 to enter kindergarten.​

Screening is one way to check your child’s ability to perform specific age appropriate skills. We use the Developmental Tasks for Kindergarten Readiness-II (DTKR-II) to assess across domains:  Acquired Knowledge, Verbal/Conceptual Skills, Visual Skills, Social Development, and Hearing/Vision.

A kindergarten teacher or school representative will review results of the screening with families and address any questions or concerns.

  • This is a FREE service provided to our Rockwood students (Age 5 by July 31, 2020).

  • Please allow 1 ½ hours for completion of the screening, hearing/vision assessment, and review results with the kindergarten teacher or school representative.

​Yes. For those not attending Rockwood, we ask that you contact our Early Childhood Department on February 4 or after for assistance in registering for kindergarten screening.  Please call 636-891-6200.​

Childcare for elementary-aged students is available through the School-​​Age Care Adve​nture Club program. For more information, please call (636) 891-6675.

Rockwood offers Parents as Teachers (in-home visiting programs for ages 0-36 months) and preschool programs (ages 3-5 years). For more information about these programs, please call (636) 891-6200.

​Rockwood residents can request their children attend a school other than the one for their assigned attendance area. This program is called Limited Choice. Learn more abo​​​ut Limited Choice​​.​

Each year, in accordance with the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), parents have the option to refuse the release of specific directory information included in their child’s educational record. As outlined in Board Regulation 2400, directory information includes such things as:

  • student’s name, addresses, phone numbers, birth date, email address
  • degrees and awards received
  • all photographs taken at school (including yearbook photos)

If parents wish to have specific directory information regarding their child excluded, ​a ​co​mpleted Refusal to Permit Disclosure of Directory Information form​ must be returned by Aug. 31. The district may disclose appropriately designated directory information without written consent, unless parents/guardians have advised the district to the contrary.
