Facilities
In the Rockwood School District, we understand that spacious, well-maintained schools are necessary to equip students with the tools for success. With the passing of Proposition 3 in 2023, the district established debt-free resources for annual safety, technology and facilities needs without increasing the tax rate. Here are the latest plans and timeline for the use of Prop 3 funds for facilities:
- HVAC replacement at Uthoff Valley Elementary, Ellisville Elementary and Kehrs Mill Elementary. These projects have been designed and procured and approved by the Board of Education. Execution of the renovations will be completed in the summer of 2025.
- Hard-surface paving replacement at Lafayette High. We are currently in the design phase of this project and intend to execute the procurement process after the first of the year. Work will be completed in the summer of 2025.
- A playground refresh at Green Pines, district vehicle fleet refresh and equipment refresh at a variety of schools, also completed in the summer of 2025.
The information below was shared with the Capital Planning Advisory Committee on Nov. 19, 2024 as to what is tentatively planned for Prop 3 facilities funds over the next few years:
