The following projects have been identified as priority projects on the horizon for this building.

Prop 3 is on the Nov. 7 ballot asking voters for permission to reallocate tax dollars from Debt Service to Capital Projects without increasing the overall tax rate.

Eureka High

Eureka High School was built in 1973.

SAFETY PRIORITIES

  • Update 2-way radios
  • Door access control and monitoring system
  • Update and add security cameras
  • Update intruder alarm system
  • Update surveillance station for SRO

TECHNOLOGY PRIORITIES

  • Update cybersecurity measures
  • Update technology infrastructure
  • New Chromebooks for freshmen
  • Staff device refresh
  • Classroom projection refresh
  • Computer lab desktop refresh

FACILITY PRIORITIES

  • Replace HVAC system in multiple wings
  • Replace HVAC system in main gym
  • Replace sections of roof

If approved, these projects will then be prioritized across the district each year based on available funds. When fully phased in, Prop 3 would result in approximately $26-27 million annually.

It is important to note that not all priority projects at every school can be funded in the first few years if Prop 3 passes, but we want all patrons to be fully informed as to which projects have been identified as priorities at each school.

See the Frequently Asked Questions under What is Prop 3? for more information as to how projects are prioritized.
