The Ellisville Elementary PTO's mission is:
- To enhance the education of every student
- To increase resources (financial, time and talent) to supplement the district budget for educational materials and experiences
- To encourage open, timely and responsive communication and serve as a voice for the Ellisville school community
- To foster a strong sense of Ellisville pride, community and belonging by supporting school and family social interaction.
Welcome to the Ellisville Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) website. The PTO is your bridge between all Ellisville families and school, supporting a culture of world-class learning, fostering collaboration and proactive information sharing, and providing volunteer and financial support.
The PTO is an organization in which all families who have children attending Ellisville Elementary are automatically members. The PTO Board represents the membership and the Board is composed of PTO members who elected by the PTO general membership to Board positions. The Board meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year and Board members, along with other appointed PTO members, manage the organizational and financial aspects of all the PTO functions.
The PTO operates on an annual budget, which is approved by a PTO membership vote at an annual PTO meeting held early in the school year. The money used to sponsor PTO activities is raised exclusively through annual fundraising events.
The PTO sponsors a wide variety of programs and events. Events are for social and fundraising purposes. The PTO also initiates programs, which will increase educational and social opportunities for the students and their families.
The achievements of the Ellisville PTO can be measured in the cooperative spirit with which parents and teachers work together to share their care and concern for Ellisville's students. The PTO's success can be seen in the student's appreciation for their school, their teachers and the opportunities these give to them.
