Guidance and Counseling
Guidance and Counseling is an integral part of Rockwood Valley's total educational program. Our counselors extend a hand to all students and assist them in acquiring the skills and attitudes necessary to be successful learners. The school counseling curriculum emphasizes that the classroom is a child's first workplace and communication, decision-making, interpersonal, and career awareness skills are critical elements to their lifelong success. Each grade level is fortunate to have one counselor designated to them. This counselor will follow students through the duration of middle school. The counselor assignments are as follows:
Mrs. Jamie McGuire: 6th Grade
Mrs. Stacey Scott: 7th Grade
Ms. Molly Duggan: 8th Grade
Mrs. Zana Phillips: Social Worker (All grade levels)
All students will be valued and provided results-based instruction in the areas of Career, Academic, and Personal Social Development, through a comprehensive guidance program, as they acquire skills, abilities and attitudes that empower them to be lifelong contributing members of society.
Our guidance and counseling program includes:
- CURRICULUM consists of classroom lessons and large group presentations

- RESPONSIVE SERVICES consists of activities to meet immediate needs and concerns of students.
