Character Education

  • Character Education is the deliberate effort to teach, model, and reflect upon good character for a better community.  Character is what you do when nobody is looking.  In Early Childhood, teachers and staff make conscious decisions to reinforce and create activities that are inclusive, support children's learning, foster an appreciation of differences, and provide children with the opportunity to help others.  Character Education focuses on staff to student, student to student, and school to community relationships creating an overall climate.  It is our foundation and most important to our program in preparing children moving to Kindergarten where Character Education is the primary system.

Our Superstar anthem is sung in our classrooms each day to reinforce our Superstar code of taking care of ourselves, each other, our school, and our world.

    Service Learning Project

Service Learning involves students in community activities that compliment their classroom studies.  Every service learning program is unique, but all aim to help students increase their academic skills through understanding how what they learn in school can be applied to the real world.  Service Learning programs help students become interested in their communities and learn how they can affect the quality of life in them.
