Outdoor Education

  • Nestled in the valley of Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in West St. Louis County, the Babler Outdoor Education Center (OEC) is a 300-acre facility offering unique outdoor education, environmental education, teambuliding and outdoor skills experiences for the community.  The Babler OEC is operated by Parkway-Rockwood Community Ed through a partnership with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Division of State Parks and is open to individuals and groups from throughout the St. Louis region and beyond. 

    Experiencing the Babler Outdoor Education Center

    There are two ways to join in the learing and fun at the Babler Outdoor Education Center:

    1. Participate in a Program: Youth, families and adults can particpate in one of the many programs offered year-round by our Babler OEC staff.  From BablerWiLD summer camps for youth to GPS events for famlies to day hikes for adults and more, there is something for everyone.

    2. Bring Your Group to the OEC: Organized groups looking for the perfect place for their next program can rent the facility and manage their own program or work with our staff to create a customized program to meet your needs. Half day, full day, weeklong, overnight and hourly options available.
