The A+ Scholarship requires students to complete 50 hours of unpaid tutoring or mentoring. For the 2021 seniors ONLY, the number of tutoring/mentoring hours has been reduced temporarily to 25 to accommodate those students who are unable to complete 50 hours prior to high school graduation. This temporary guidance has been set by the Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development (MDHE) and only applies to 2021 seniors. The class of 2022, 2023, and 2024 still have to complete 50 hours of tutoring.
