Class of 2025

Hello and Welcome to Eureka!

UPDATE!! Freshman Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 19, 2021.

I will serve as your class principal over the next four years and am excited to get to know you! I have been with Rockwood for 23 years and worked at Eureka for the last 12. I served as the freshman principal for six years before we began to loop with our classes. I understand the middle-to-high school transition well and will do everything I can to make this a smooth process. High school is an exciting time, full of changes, challenges, and a lot of new learning. It is perfectly normal to feel somewhat anxious as you prepare to enter Eureka. We have developed a tremendous support system for our students and their families to help advise them during the transition from middle to high school. You are always welcome to call us or set up an appointment when you have questions or a situation that needs attention.

As you prepare to select courses, many classes offer various levels of rigor and it is essential to be aware of the additional time demands before taking on Honors, Accelerated, or AP courses. Please consider the following questions as you navigate the course selection process:

  • What content/topics am I passionate about?

  • How much time am I willing to commit to homework and study each night?

  • What other time commitments do I have? (sports, family, work, church)

Once you have made your class selections, we will work to ensure students have a schedule that fits well. This will be the first of many important decisions you will make while at EHS. Please know I am here to provide support and guidance to you and your family.
