Capital Planning Advisory Committee

The Capital Planning Advisory Committee meets quarterly to provide feedback and input on various aspects of the district's financial planning and communication with patrons. This includes offering feedback on the strategies used to communicate ongoing Proposition 3 budgeting and spending, as well as the capital planning process in general. The committee will also contribute insights on facility planning and demographic trends as part of the 2025 strategic planning process. The committee, facilitated by the district’s Chief Financial Officer, is made up of representatives from every patron group, including teachers, building administrators, district administrators, the Board of Education and members of the community. While advisory in nature, the committee's contributions play an important role in ensuring transparent and responsible fiscal management within our district.

The Capital Planning Advisory Committee application was open from November 1 through November 11. In an effort to generate creative solutions that include a good cross-section of individuals and perspectives, committee members were selected from the applications based on role, background and location within the district. The committee includes staff, parents and community members who represent all grade levels and all four quadrants of the district.
