Summer Internships
The Partners in Education Summer Internship program is a unique, unpaid opportunity that places students in a career area of their interest. The program is offered to qualified Rockwood juniors in the summer leading into their senior year of high school.
- The internship provides students with career exploration opportunities, allowing them to gain practical, real-world experience.
- Students are partnered with a professional in their career and work on a custom-designed project.
- Students accepted into the program demonstrate a strong desire to pursue their chosen career field, will have taken relevant coursework to support their career choice and must be able to be self-directed.
- Students must have availability within their summer schedules to participate in this program. Reliable transportation to and from the business partner location is required; a valid driver's license is strongly recommended.
- Successful completion of this program will earn students a 1/2 of a CTE credit.
