Marching Band Registration


​​​​​​​​​​​Here you will find all of the information you need to register your student for the Regiment new school year, either as a musician or color guard.  If your family is new to the marching band there is a lot to learn, but there are experienced people to help you so make sure you ask questions if you are not sure.  It is important that you returns forms and information on time to ensure the smooth operation of the band.

​Below are the key dates and information related to registration.  You can download these forms from this page, or from the Documents and Forms page.  (Not all links are active yet, more forms will be added in coming weeks.)  All of these forms will also be provided to you at the Fall Parent meeting.  This page is intended to help you with registration only.  Be sure to consult the Band C​alendar​​ or download a copy of the 2020-21 Lancer Regiment Schedule.pdf​ to find dates of all practice sessions, competitions and other events throughout the season.

Note that all ​payments should be cash or check (payable to 'LHS Band Boosters'), and must be enclosed in a Deposit Envelope.  Be sure to pick up a supply of these at the Fall Parent Meeting or from Mr Balog's office during school hours.

​Under Uniform and Spirit Wear Orders Due!

Under Uniform (Mandatory) and Spirit Wear (optional)​

All band members (apart from color guard) need at least one undershirt, one pair of shorts, and one pair of socks.  The cost of one undershirt is covered by the parent association for each new student (order as usual through the site).  It is highly recommended that you have two of each item for laundering purposes.  Students with uniforms from 2019 in good condition do not need to purchase new.

​July 17thREQUIRED Add Physical ​​Exam to Privit​​

All students who participate in athletics at Lafayette (including Marching Band) need to have a physical completed on the​ Rockwood Physical Exam Form​.​  This needs to be uploaded to the Privit​ website.  Physicals dated 07/01/2019 or later will be accepted. Instructions for Privit can be found here​.

The first time you use Privit you need to register.  In future years you can return to the same account and update information and upload a new physical form.​

July 20th​


REQUIRED Parent Camp Meeting

LHS Theater.  Important information about camp.​  Spirit wear sample sizes will be available to try.

The following forms will be submitted in person to Band Staff on July 20 on the first day of rehearsal. Forms will not be accepted prior to July 20 unless a student is out of town during the July 20-23 rehearsals:

Instructions to help you complete medical forms.​  For detailed information concerning the Rockwood School District’s medication policies and conduct expectations for overnight trips, consult the Out-of-Town or Overnight Travel Field Trip Booklet​.​

​​July 23rd​

Gloves and Shoes Order and Payment Due​

All students (except percussion and color guard) require gloves.  Students are encouraged to buy two pair of gloves. 

All students (except color guard) are required to buy shoes.

Returning students can re-use shoes and gloves from previous seasons.  ​

Order forms will be given to students when they are fitted for their uniforms in the first week of rehearsals (July 16th-19th).  Shoe size will be measured at this time if required.  Prices - gloves $3, shoes $35. Form is to be returned to Lisa Bradley.

August 18th


​Family Night at LHS

Dinner and first preview of the show to family members.  Families are asked to br​ing a meal for a potluck dinner.  The schedule for the evening is:

5-6pm LR Rehearsal

6-7pm Dinner with Families

7-8pm LR Performance in the Stadium
