Community Outreach

Here at Lafayette High School, our students are involved in many community service projects. Through our network of volunteers, LPO supports many of these efforts and encourages students and parents to become involved. We have many major giving projects and service opportunities throughout the year.  This will also be reposted on our LPO page.

Currently we are focused on TOGETHER WE CAN!  We have set a bodacious goal of 30,000 cans.  Students are encouraged to bring cans to the first period of the day. They can also be dropped off at the Welcome center every day 8-3.  Some of the students went trick or treating for cans, some are asking family and friends for donations. Every can counts. This is an organization that serves our community.

We are in the process Holiday Giving. Several LHS groups and clubs participate in adopt a family program.  This includes NHS, JROTC and some of the classes.  The students adopt a family member and collect specific clothing items and toys/books depending on the age. There are also some household items needed too.

We appreciate everyone's participation in these important service endeavors.

LHS LPO sponsors three major fundraisers throughout the year: Carnival, Bingo Night, and Taste of West County. Funds raised from each of these events stays with the class that runs it and is used to finance that class Senior Activities including Celebration, an alcohol and drug-free all-night celebration following graduation.‚Äč
