    LIBRARY:  The library will be open after school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Study with a group, play a board game, or simply read.

    BEST BUDDIES:  We all love playing games! And, there's nothing more fun than Minute to Win It Games! Join Best Buddies on Wednesday, November 13 in room 604 for game fun! Not an official member of Best Buddies? That's ok! Just sign up on the after-school Google form. At the event, one of the Best Buddies' leaders will help you get signed up. Come and join us for a fun afternoon of games and giggles!

    Artistic Expressions:  Our November schedule: No meeting on 11/13. Next Meeting on 11/20.

    NJHS:  NJHS Veteran letter writers will be staying after school Wednesday 11/13 in Mrs. Kindt's room, 705.

    COIN CHALLENGE:  Bring in your spare change or dollars for the Adopt-A-Family Coin Challenge. The grade level that collects the most will receive a reward at the end of the collection. We are collecting up until the Thanksgiving Holiday. Proceeds will go to the LSMS Adopt-A-Family program which takes care of families right here in our school! Thank you for your generosity!

    FALL MUSICAL TICKET SALES:  Annie Jr ticket sales will occur during all lunch shifts until Wednesday 11/20, the day of performance. Tickets are $3.00 for the matinee performance at 2:15pm, and $4.00 for the evening performance at 7pm. Checks or cash will be accepted.

    LOST AND FOUND:  Hoodies, coats, hats, gloves, lunchboxes, water bottles and whatever else you may have lost! If you have lost any of these or other items please check the lost and found in the hallway by Mrs. Early. We are sure your parents will appreciate it!

    ACTIVITY BUSES:  Starting next week activity buses will be available at 3;45 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You must sign up for the bus when you sign up for your after school activity.

    KINDNESS WEEK:  The LSMS Kindness Crew has been hard at work planning our 2019 Kindness Week! Join staff and students in promoting kindness by dressing this week as listed below.

    • Monday-- Neon Rock Star Day:  Stand Out and Stand Up to Bullying. Kindness melodies will be played over the intercom before school, during passing times and after school to kick off our Kindness Week!
    • Tuesday - Tie-Dye/Camo Day:  Peace, Love and Kindness. Spread Peace Love and Kindness Challenge Day.
    • Wednesday -- PJ Day:  Dream of Kindness. An anti-bullying movie will be shown followed by discussions to dream of kindness at LSMS.
    • Thursday -- Boots & Social Media Day:  Stomp Out Bullying on Social Media (SnapChat = Yellow, TikTok = Black/White, Instagram = Rainbow, Twitter = Blue)
    • Friday -- Red/White/Blue:  Show Kindness to those who have served our country.

    PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT DAY/BUS PASSES:  Wednesday, November 6 is an early dismissal day. School dismisses at 11:32 am. Bus passes will only be issued before school or during lunch. Students must have a signed note from a parent in order to get a bus pass. Very limited passes can be issued for bus numbers 93, 101, 103, 128 and 149.

    POWDER PUFF TEAMS:  7th and 8th grade girls wanting to participate in the Powder Puff game, Wednesday, October 16, need to turn in a team form to the Intramural box by Oct. 14. Forms are located on the activity board across from the fitness center or you can pick one up from your coach.

    POWDER PUFF TICKETS:  Tickets will be on sale during lunch for $2.00. You must have a ticket to attend the game. Student tickets will not be sold at the gate. Adult tickets can be purchased at the game.

    MINECRAFT CLUB:  The Minecraft Club will be available to 8th graders ONLY this Thursday. Students who participate will have to have the Minecraft application loaded to their phone. If 8th grade students are interested, they will need to contact Ms. Giden for approval

    BEST BUDDIES:  We all know we love ice cream. How would you like to make some with your best friends? On October 17 in the commons, Best Buddies at LaSalle Springs will be doing just that.     ACTIVITY BUSES:  Activity buses will only be available at 4:30 on Wednesdays through October 16. Buses will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for the remainder of the year unless otherwise notified. As of today, the only exception is the month of April.

    FLL:  LSMS FLL Flood Force 215 Team will meet on Tuesday Oct. 1 and Thursday Oct. 3 until 4:00 pm.  Team members need to sign up on the attendance sheet.

    MINECRAFT CLUB:  The Minecraft Club will be available to 8th graders ONLY this Thursday. Students who participate will have to have the Minecraft application loaded to their phone. If 8th grade students are interested, they will need to contact Ms. Giden for approval.

    POWDER PUFF:  7th and 8th grade girls wanting to participate in the Powder Puff game, Wednesday, October 16, need to turn in a team form to the Intramural box by Oct. 14. Forms are located on the activity board across from the fitness center or you can pick one up from your coach.

    CONSTITUTION DAY:  Our nation sets aside September 17 as a day to celebrate our Constitution of the United States of America! Please join the LaSalle Springs community in honoring this day by wearing red, white, and blue on Tuesday, September 17.

    FLL:  LSMS FLL Team #215 will meet on Wed. Sept 18 and Thurs. Sept. 19 until 4:00 in Mrs. Cox's room for team members only. Remember to sign up on the after-school activity link. Open coding sessions will be available 2nd semester.

    Week of September 9-13

    PATRIOT DAY:  Patriot Day, also referred to as 9/11 or September 11, is a holiday observed annually on September 11. The day is dedicated to remembering and paying tribute to the 2,977 people killed and numerous people injured during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 in New York, Washington DC and Shanksville, Pennsylvania. In remembrance of this day please wear red, white or blue to school to show your patriotism to our country and honor those who were affected by this event.

    ACTIVITY BUSES:  Activity buses will be available at 4:30 on Wednesday only during the month of September. Buses will run Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 3:45 for the remainder of the year unless otherwise notified. As of today, the only exception is the month of April.

    STAFF DEVELOPMENT DAY/BUS PASSES:  Wednesday, September 11 is an early dismissal day. School dismisses at 11:32 am. Bus passes will only be issued before school or during lunch. Students must have a signed note from a parent in order to get a bus pass. Very limited passes can be issued for bus numbers 93, 101, 103, 128 and 149.

    FLL:  FLL Team 215 will meet on Tues. Sept. 10 and Thurs. Sept 12 until 4:00 pm in Mrs. Cox's room 711. This after-school activity is only available for team members. Robot coding will be open to all students beginning in January.

    BEST BUDDIES - The first informational meeting about Best Buddies will be Thursday, September 12 in room 604. Best Buddies is a student-run friendship club. Best Buddies fosters friendships between students of all abilities, in which they share interests, experiences and activities. Make plans to stay and see what Best Buddies is all about. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Schiller, Ms. Rich, or Mrs. Toth.

    SPIRIT WEAR:  Spirit Wear items will be sent home the week of September 16. We will open orders again in late fall if you didn't have a chance to order in August.

    BUS PASSES:  Students must have a signed note from a parent in order to get a bus pass.

    Got shoes?  Our annual shoe drive will be held the week of 9/3-6. Any and all types of shoes, new and gently used, will be accepted. Donations go to the Shoeman Project who distributes the shoes in several ways to those in need both locally and globally. A lot of the shoes will stay right here in St. Louis! All leftover shoes are sold to raise money to dig wells in third-world countries and provide fresh water to those who don't have access to clean water. Thank you again for your donations!

    FLL:  FLL Team #215 has practice on Sept. 4 (Wed.) and Sept. 5 (Thurs.) in Mrs. Cox's Room 711 until 4:00. This after-school activity is for team members only. Open robot coding sessions will be held after-school 2nd semester.

    SCIENCE CLUB:  Contagious Intelligence Science Club will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 4, room 611 with Mrs. Heinemann.

    MINECRAFT CLUB:  Beginning Thursday, 9/5, the Minecraft Club will be available to 8th graders every other Thursday. Students who participate will have to have the Minecraft application loaded to their phone. If 8th grade students are interested, they will need to contact Ms. Giden for approval. Because the club is hosted on Thursdays, students will need their own transportation to get home.

    If you want to DANCE and have an ACTING role, please come Tuesday, Sept 3.
    Everyone must bring a SIGNED CONTRACT to their audition. Crew members do not need to audition and their contracts are due on Monday, Sept 9.
    AUDITION SCRIPTS AND MUSIC WILL BE POSTED IN A FEW DAYS. You do not need to memorize anything.
    Callbacks (for anyone we need to see again) will be on Thursday, Sept 5 from 2:45-4:15.
    If you need to ride the activity bus, you should audition on Wednesday, as this are the only days we have activity buses in September.
    CONTRACTS HAVE BEEN POSTED on the WTC Board (bulletin board in the hallway past Mr. Fink's room and before Ms. Jones' room).

    MUD CLUB: Interested in Art? Join Mud Club! An after school club where students can create using clay, paper mache, and more! This club is open to all grades. Pick up an application outside room 400 (art room) to get more information!
