Virtual Library Card

Rockwood partners with St. Louis County Library (SLCL) for digital resources, such as e-books and online collections of digital media. With a St. Louis County Library virtual card, a device, and internet access, students will have 24/7 access.

An SLCL library card gives students quick online access to a world of resources for research and entertainment. This virtual library card is a portal to thousands of news publications from around the world, academic journals, primary materials, extensive history resources and government documents.

Virtual library cards also give students access to resources to help them prepare for life beyond high school: databases listing scholarship and internship opportunities; online test preparation for common standardized tests, a dozen AP subjects, and even driving tests; career and job hunting databases; self-paced online classes to help build marketable skills; and tools for entrepreneurial students to research and develop ideas into business plans.

Rockwood Technology will ensure the virtual library is in alignment with Rockwood Library Media and Rockwood Curriculum.

This partnership supplements the school district's strong collection of databases through the Destiny library management system. Students may access the system at school through any workstation, as well as at home through Rockwood's 1-to-1 technology program.
