In this video series, Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles provides the latest information regarding the COVID-19 related schools closure and how it is impacting members of the Rockwood School District community.
Topics in this edition include:
- District tennis courts will reopen for use on June 15. However, athletic activities, including district-sponsored sports training camps, will not be held prior to June 30. This applies to other extra-curricular activities, such as marching band, as well.
- Food service is continuing through the month of June. It will be offered on Wednesdays this month, and families can obtain a week's worth of meals at a time. Distribution occurs from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rockwood South Middle and Selvidge Middle schools. VICC buses will also continue to work with Rockwood Student Services staff and school social workers to identify families who still need delivery. You can find more details on our district website.
- Parents and staff members who have not completed the survey regarding your preferences for school in the fall can do so until this evening, June 12, at midnight. It was emailed to every district parent June 2.
