Eureka Elementary Assistant Principal Corie Luczak has been chosen as the St. Louis Suburban Elementary Principal Association (SLSEPA) 2019-20 Outstanding Assistant Principal.
She was honored by students and staff during a surprise celebration in school Dec. 18.
SLSEPA Region President and Green Pines Elementary Principal Dr. Paul Godwin said, "This recognition is given for outstanding performance in the demonstration of skills that reflect the best in educational leadership."
SLSEPA Outstanding Assistant Principal recognition criteria include:
--have made a measurable contribution to the school district in which he/she serves.
--be respected by students, colleagues, parents and the community at large.
--show strong educational leadership by setting high expectations for school staff and students.
--maintain an orderly, purposeful learning environment.
"I am honored to have been chosen," said Luczak. "I love working alongside and learning from all of my great colleagues in Rockwood every day!"
"Mrs. Luczak couldn't be more deserving," said Rockwood Executive Director Elementary Education Dr. Dave Cobb. "She is amazing. Kids love her. She is 'all in,' and this is very much deserved. Corie is an employee who does all it takes for kids."
Eureka Elementary Principal Lynn White said, "Mrs. Luczak is very proactive. She always puts kids first and puts all of her heart into her work."
