Rockwood School District is hosting a Rockwood Safe Together
virtual question-and-answer session for the entire district community with Dr. Jason Newland, Washington University professor of pediatrics, infectious diseases.
The live webinar is open to all Rockwood students, families, staff members and will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Click here to view a replay of the session.
Now that Rockwood has completed the return to in-person learning for our Early Childhood and elementary students -- and with secondary students’ return upcoming
-- we wanted to take this opportunity for Dr. Newland to share his expertise on the necessary mitigation efforts that make it possible for students, families and staff members to continue their safe return to our school buildings.
Rockwood has collaborated with medical experts, including Dr. Newland, in devising the health and wellness
protocols in place for students’ return to in-person learning. Dr. Newland has also worked with other local school districts on their return-to-school safety planning, and they are experiencing success with similar mitigation efforts to those enacted in Rockwood.
He will be answering questions that have been shared by our parents and staff members throughout the fall, which reflect what our community members most want to know about best practices in keeping everyone as safe as possible while more students return to our school buildings.
We are excited to offer this opportunity for our community to hear from Dr. Newland, and we want to thank our district students, families and staff members for their continued partnership in keeping Rockwood Safe Together!
