In the interest of fostering the "entire" student, Rockwood School District officials are focusing on the social-emotional health of our young people, in addition to their academic futures and well-being.
"Our students are surrounded by people who care about them," said Rockwood Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles. "Every one of our staff members has a vested interest in the contentment and development of our students."
Rockwood Director of Student Services Dr. Terry Harris discussed the many resources available to students and their families.
"Any teacher in any one of our school buildings can refer a student to a counselor," said Harris. "Those counselors can put students in contact with mental health services, additional counseling, crisis intervention or just someone to talk to."
