Dear Rockwood parents:
By now, you have had the opportunity to review our Return-to-School Plan
for the 2020-2021 school year and provide your valuable feedback on the guidelines and procedures we have in place. View the results of the survey in which district parents participated.
In a separate email later today, the primary household guardian will receive a mandatory Rockwood Fall Return-to-School Registration form for each child. Please complete this new registration form by July 31
with information about the educational method you have chosen for each child to begin the school year: a reduced-capacity option with in-person services two days a week; or at-home education through online curriculum
If you elect for your children to attend in-person classes, you will also be asked to fill out school bus transportation needs for each child.
The number-one goal is to get all students back in Rockwood schools five days a week. We hope this reduced-capacity plan will allow us to do that safely as soon as possible. In this video message
, Superintendent Dr. Mark Miles explains the reasoning behind our current educational options and what factors can allow us to return to full-capacity instruction five days a week.
Thank you for your cooperation during this unprecedented time. We appreciate your willingness to collaborate with us to best serve Rockwood families.
