Rockwood School District will continue distributing food for students that normally rely on school for meals through the month of June.
Through Thursday, May 21, Child Nutrition Services
staff members and administrators will distribute grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches every weekday morning from 8-10 a.m. at LaSalle Springs
, Rockwood South
middle schools. Child Nutrition staff members will also continue preparing meals to be delivered by Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation (VICC) buses to Rockwood students who live in St. Louis city. Families collecting meals on Thursday, May 21, will also be able to collect meals for Friday, May 22, at that time.
Meal service will pause the week of May 25 for reorganization, then resume Wednesday, June 3.
Rockwood staff members will hold pickup availability for a week's worth of breakfasts and lunches on June 3, 10, 17 and 24, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Rockwood South and Selvidge. VICC buses will also continue to work with Rockwood Student Services
staff and school social workers to identify families who still need delivery.
Remaining Meal Balance Information
All balances left in meal accounts at the end of the school year will automatically be carried forward for students continuing in any Rockwood school. If a student graduates or moves out of the school district, a refund can be requested. Account balances can also be transferred to siblings within Rockwood.
A parent/guardian may request a refund or transfer by phone at (636) 733-3252 by emailing email@example.com. Refunds will be issued by check from Rockwood School District.
Families may also choose to donate the remaining meal account balance to a student in need within our district by contacting the Child Nutrition Services office at (636) 733-3252.
