The online Rockwood Tipline
allows district students, parents and residents to report safety and security concerns with the confidence that their information will evaluated, responded to and held in the strictest confidence. The Tipline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to anyone wishing to report any information.
All reports and calls are handled confidentially and users have the option to leave a tip anonymously, although those leaving tips can leave their contact information to receive a response to their concerns.
we try to tell our students and parents is that if you see something,
say something," said Executive Director Student Services Dr. Terry Harris. "Ultimately, we want people to know that, at every turn, any time,
they always have a way to express concern."
The Tipline icon is located at the bottom right corner of the district home page -- rsdmo.org
-- and in the same location on each of the individual school web pages. The Tipline allows students, parents and community members to send messages to school principals, school resource officers, guidance counselors and Harris.
Reports on the Tipline are broken up into these categories: Bullying, Drugs and Alcohol, General Information, Personal Crisis, Safety Risk and Vandalism.
"It is an amazing feature. We encourage students, teachers and parents to use the Tipline," Harris said. "The more we use it, the more we can create, revisit and monitor our policies, practices and procedures to ensure that all students, staff and parents are safe in our schools."
